Foundation Veterinary Medicine in developing countries (www.dio.nl) has received this question:
There is a problem with camels in the West-Sahara region: when the animals enter the camps (within one week), they get problems with all their joints: they fall and have difficulty to get up, they get oedema (abdomen and legs), they loose weight and finally they die within one month.
Adults seem to be more susceptible than young animals.
They eat beans and wheat with water.
Can anyone help me with this problem? I do not recognize this problem!!
Thanks in advance,
Hanneke
