Hi all,
For all of you valued members, I have been working hard setting up programs to make this forum even better. We now have a Chat Room and I hope to have the Photo Galleries working before taking off to the India Camel Festival in 2 days. :wave :wave

As most of you know, I have been invited to the Bikaner Camel Festival as their Chief Guest for the opening ceremony. Over the past week I have been learning a lot more about the camels of India and hope to be worthy of this honor. :king

If anyone has question about the camels in India or for that matter any questions at all about camels that you would like me to ask while there, ask away and I will print out a copy to take with me.

I have my 2 webcams to keep an eye on things, and I will be around thousands of other camels while there.

I got the photo galleries working, although there may still be a few bugs left. When I get the time I plan on setting up a video category too. I’m not sure how it’s done yet, but there is a way to use a thumbnail photo from the gallerie in your post that when clicked on will open up full size.
Lets see if this will do it.

Bad news, there’s a bad storm, high wind and waves here offshore where I work. I may not be able to get to shore unless it dies down some. My flight leaves to India this evening and I don’t know if I will be on it. :( :(

It’s bad out here!!! I’ve never seen it this bad; things are coming loose and flying across the decks. One of the large floodlights broke loose and came crashing down on the deck below. The hot electrical wires were hanging down swinging around as I ran to quickly disconnected them.

I was afraid of something else coming loose and hitting me as I see things blowing past, things are flying everwhere, this is bad, very bad. Loose electrical wires on a natural gas platform, not good. We lost shore power and are running on generator. A 2 inch water line broke in a few placed and the decks were flooding as I was running around trying to get things back up after loosing power again. And all of this by myself on the night shift!

How’s your day going?

OH MY GOODNESS! Where do you work, anyway!? This does not bode well for your departure tonight!  :(
I just looked at you live web cam, and things are sunny and calm at your place. Gobi is kushed in the middle of your paddock, and Dandy and the Llamas are by the fencline next to the fence feeders. The horses are grazing in their enclosure. All is well at home.

I made it home in time, only a few hours latter than normal. Very busy getting everything ready for the trip to India, no time to chat. All is going well and I plan on having some fun!:elephant :elephant :elephant

Somehow I didn't expect to hear from you until you were back, Roger! I figured you'd be off having too good a time to use a computer! Keep in touch when you can! :wave :)

Sometimes I think that I am having too much fun over here. Today I spent the whole day with about 60 elephants. Tonight I think I may smell like a elephant too!:elephant :elephant :elephant :elephant

Yes, I’m back home now. Got back last week but have not posted anything until now because I was not feeling good, got a bad head cold that really hit me hard. I’m about over the cold now and I hope to have some more photos post soon from this last trip.
As for painting elephants, it can take 1 or 2 hours.
