Importing camels?

I'm curious if it's possible to have camels imported from say Australia or Africa? It would seem costly, but I thought I might toss it out there amongst you who may know a little more about this.

It would seem camels might be a lot cheaper in Australia seeing they have an abundance.

Impoting camels from Australia is possible, but not from Africa as the US has a ban againest importing camels from Africa and the Middle East. I have very healthy and nice camels in the Middle East that I am trying to figure out a way to bring them into the US, but no luck so far.

In any evvent, the cost of shipping and going through the legal process can not be cheaper than buying camels here in the US.

The kind of camels I have in the Middle East do not exist in the US. I wish I can find someone who breeds them I will buy them.

I am a dedecated breeder who breeds the very best. It is all about your objective.

If I could get some camels imported it would be from India, they sure have some nice ones there... I may be wrong, but I believe that no camels from anywhere can be imported into the US.

From the mouth and foot deseas free countries like the European you can import camels, but in fact are this not the genuine blood countries and you will find in Europe selten good Camels.

I live in the Uk and am looking for a female camel.

There are obviously a number for sale in Australia and the US but I have no idea about whether I can import one. Does anyone have any idea whether or not it is possible ?

I'm in France, and that was hard enough, in the UK there are so many more restrictions - hence very few people with camels. Do you have any at the moment, as I understand in the Uk you need a wild animal licence to have them, hence very few people do!
