Do Camels need yearly vaccinations against things like Meningial Worms and viruses, and do they have to be wormed on a regular basis the way horses do? Can a camel be given a paste wormer if it does have to be wormed, or does it have to be "drenched"?

I would also be interested in finding out about the M worm. I had a lady ask me about it and didn't have an answer for her. I haven't heard of camels being affected by it though.

The camels I work with get wormed twice a year with paste wormer. Then about once a year, a fecal is run to see if they have a parasite problem. So far, this seems to be working great. Whats great about having a yearly fecal run is that you can tailor the wormer to specifically kill the problem parasite. But they rarely have a problem. The twice a year seems to work fine.
