Here’s a photo showing how in India the village camel doctor treats a camel that will not eat or get up. They use a hot iron and burn the back of the camel’s head.
In these small remote villages things haven’t changed much over the years, but you know what, this method of treatment has been used for hundreds of years seems to work. Not something I would try though!

Actually there are government run programs and nonprofit groups that help these animals over there. These people set up clinics at all of the animal events, like the “Pushkar Camel Fair” and even go out to villages for the day to set up clinics to treat the animals, but the old ways die hard!

of course similar tortures seemed to work for many years in the middle age - even with human beings - but its going to decide things, affording something on the most carefully way. otherwise you never can trust your camel...
perhaps this is the reason, most eastern cameleers exist the rest of their life with only one arm left !!!!

Here in the States we brand cattle and some horses are still being branded, over there they brand their camels. Many people that live and work around these large animals are use to these things, along with a whole lot worse! It’s a way of life that few of us see or even want to know about.
So now if you’re use to branding your animals with a hot iron and you think your camel is dying, would you brand it again to save its life?

Ok maybe you or me would not do this because we have other ways and some of the best veterinarians and animal hospitals in the world. We also have money to spend on our animals which is a luxury unknown to a lot of the world!

How would these cameleers be able to use a system like RFID
when they have so little money that they can barley keep there selves alive?
These cameleers methods in camel husbandry have been pasted down from many generations and for them there methods have worked and are still working. People replicate what they see and are taught and this is what they see and are taught.
There is no mass forum of communication or higher education in camel husbandry being offered to these people aside form the clints which are at times available, there camels are very valuable to them and I'm sure if they knew a better way of taking care of and handling them they certainly would.

I like to keep an open mind when it comes to other cultures and I can think of a few reasons why this treatment could work, along with a few of why I wouldn’t want to use it... But then I have more options.
When a camel gets frightened they get diarrhea (the runs), their adrenalin kicks in and their stomach fluids get going, maybe getting them over the problem.
Another reason could be that now they are in so much pain from the treatment they forget about their belly ache.
The photo of this camel may also be showing a camel that was burned too much. I don’t know, but you can bet that I will try to find out more! Maybe someday when I’m out in the backcountry a variation of this treatment could save my camel's life!

go get them roger!!!!! we as Americans are so righteous in our supreme knowledge those people could use a microchip for a board game piece!!!!! if they had a board game!!!! no wait they would use the board game to start a fire with so they could cook there food FOR THERE FAMILY and brand there camel so the neighbors would not steal there camel, that is there existence to feed there FAMILY!!!! IF THEY HAD A BETTER WAY THEY WOULD USE IT!!! BUT WE CAN AMERCANIZE THEM AND THEN WHEN THERE CULTURE COLPSES WE CAN FEED THEM ASWELL
