I was looking online at 1 of those sites u can buy stuff from. Well why not? Then it came to me as I came across a section of the site that had squeak toys and other amuzing things. Both my kitties, and all my other pets I've had, have had some kind of entertainment, whether it be something that squeaks, moves around, or is just soft and cuddly. But I draw a blank when I think of what could amuze Samirah. If any1 hasn't noticed lol, I do tend to treat her like a more common pet...so what do u think she'd play with? does she play at all? I cant see a tiny lil squeak toy being amuzing to a camel, she'd kill the thing...so I'm stuck for ideas. Ok, off to ponder this one...

I wouldn't get a squeaker toy like that for a camel. They are very curious and most likely she'll want to investigate it. A part could break off, or if she got down to the fluff or squeaker she could eat it and get it lodged in her throat, or it could go into her stomach and calcify.

Most toys that are appropriate for a horse would be good for a camel. My camel has a horse jolly ball with a handle. He also has a few hard plastic dog toys, so there's no risk of choking.

Another thing I've been thinking of doing, but haven't tried yet, is taking a paint bucket with a locking top and putting some rocks inside it, so he can roll it around.

You have to be very careful though with what you choose to be in their pasture, they are very curious. One afternoon I inflated a bunch of balloons and tied them around the fence for desensitization.

It worked really well and towards the end of the day he would approach them and was no longer bouncing around in fear when he got too close. But even with paying close watch over him throughout the day, one popped and before I noticed he took the deflated plastic into his mouth and it was half way down his mouth before I saw out the window. I ran out there and stuck my arm down his throat and pulled it out.

I'm very careful about plastic bags or other such garbage blowing into his pasture, too. There was a story in the news not to long ago about how a large number of camels (especially young camels) are dying from eating plastic bags and other trash out in the desert. Very sad.
