Hello everyone. I am a new member to this forum. I would like to know if anyone is planning on attending Camel Mania on the Hi Jolly Daze parade at Quartzsite AZ, on January 5th 2008. This will be my first time going along with my girlfriend and would like feedback on the event from prior attendees. Thanks.:wave

They have not had any camels at that event for quite a few years. Last year I got an email from them saying that they where looking for someone to bring camels there. I gave them a small list of camel owners who rent out camels in the area but don’t know if it worked out.
Hi Jolly was buried there and years later the last known army camel offspring “Topsy” that died at the Griffith Park Zoo in Los Angeles in 1934 was buried by his side there in Quartzsite Az.

Thanks for the info. I saw many of them when I was in Iraq and I fell in love with camels. I plan to buy a few once I finish getting my house built.

Have you ever attended? I've been to Quartzite, but not during their camel event. What's it like?
